Ah Lynda, shame about the faff getting to the hotel, not hat you need after a long flight but not a bad travel day ... They are a means to an end ! Glad the hotel is nice and dinner looks lovely. I remember that first night feeling . It's like wow, I am here .. And it's just like the movies! I wish I could bottle that moment forever, it was special .

Look forward to reading along.

More and more I dislike travel days, definitely a means to an end. For the whole trip I couldn't believe I was there. It was a really special holiday.

What a shame about the shared transport - havng said that we got a taxi from Newark and my poor husband was terrified in the front seat!

Otherwise a great travel day!

Thanks for reading... yes' I've heard that the taxis can be a bit mad as well. I think it depends on the driver!

We pre booked Dial 7 before we left the UK, on our second trip, no problems and all info goes to your phone.

First trip we just got a yellow cab outside of the terminal, that was fine as well.
