American History Road Trip 2016- Day 13 - Indiana - Day 13 - The Last Full Day
Trip Report Index
NYC - DC- Virginia - Tennessee - Kentucky - Indiana - Illinois Day 13 – Sunday 4th April 2016 - The Final Day Just to start, I'm Lisa - the planner and reporter. Ade is my hubby and he's our driver and there's Hollie who is 16 and Louis is 14. The days are getting quieter, but this is our last full day. We started the day at 7am and there was just one thing to do….. Dad drove us down there today. No walking. We did see a couple of people in pjs in there again. Why? The coffee and donuts are just so good! Janet wasn’t feeling too well so stayed home today. She’d heard of this place with retro arcade games, so Dad decided to try and find it. I thought he knew where it was, but he didn’t. So it was a little of a hunt. We did stop off at the mall and I ran back in to Bath and Bodyworks for a final haul. Hollie came with me and Ade ran in to American Eagle and picked up another top. Dad and Louis stayed in the car and Dad found the address. Where the pros go! We found it hidden away a little. We pulled up and weren’t quite sure if we should go in. It was like a scene in The Big Bang Theory. We had a nose and a chat with the owner who thought Dad was crazy moving from the UK to Evansville. They were really nice people. We stopped off at Target next. There may have been more Dollar Spot items purchased. One can never have enough stationery! More M&M’s were also bought and the kids picked up Pringles too. Then we drove home. We stopped off at Snucks the grocery store and had choosing time at the Salad Bar. We sat in the garden when we got back and had lunch. There were lots of leftovers to eat up! It was 60F but a little blowy. Ade’s Cheese Balls blew off his plate! We had a bud. It was nice out here. It felt warm for us but was chilly for Dad and Janet. After clearing up Ade and I did more packing. Ade then did repacking. He was stressing out abit. We watched The Middle with Dad and then Ade and I went for a walk around 5pm. Just love wandering around here. A little bunny greeted us on the driveway when we got back. Dad was fixing spag bol and texas toast when we got back. We chilled in the den all of us then for the evening. Patch the parrot fed from all of us which apparently she never does. She was rescued by Dad and can be rather temperamental. Ade was still stressing. We went to bed feeling anxious about the trip home tomorrow. I did say at that time that I hate the travelling so much I don’t think I could even go to Florida in 2017. Like that happened! As I type this we have 3 weeks to go! Thanks for reading. It’s home time tomorrow. Edited at 09:06 AM. |

The last full day is always slightly tarnished with the knowledge that you're going home soon. We get mega stressed with packing, as we always struggle to fit everything in our cases.
