Disney is in Anaheim which is South East LA and is not really near anything else. LA is massive and it will take at least an hour to get up to North LA where Universal, Hollywood etc are.

A split stay is recommended if you can. Disney takes 2-3 days to complete easily, Universal is a 1 day park.

Thanks 400ixl.
What about sports? Has anyone been to the lakers/ galaxy/ kings? Is it best to stay in downtown for these?

Thanks in advance

Angels (Baseball) and Ducks (Hockey) are near Anaheim so you could easily do those. LA Galaxy is not too bad a drive either for the football stadium.

Lakers are getting further away up near the airport and an hour or so away. This is also a similar time from Hollywood, so unless you plan to have a stay over near the coast then it makes little difference.

For the Kings and Dodgers you are far better off being north in the Hollywood / downtown area.

Obviously it depends ion the time of year as to which sport is in season.
