Edinburgh and Billy Joel

Did something on the spur of the minute today - which really isn’t like me- I usually suss things out before hand.
Had an email giving me presale access to Billy Joel tickets- which I managed to get🙈
Some of the hotels are really expensive so thought I’d better book something today - ended up with
the Premier Inn ( Royal Mile)at a cost of £600 for 2 nights- as we will be coming from Edinburgh Airport
I presume this is quite central and it will be easy enough to get to Murrayfield? Or is there a better situated Premier Inn ?

Any tips greatly appreciated - I’m totally out of my comfort zone

There is the Premier Inn Hub at Haymarket which is probably the closest PI to Murrayfield and on the Airport bus/tram line and there is a Holiday Inn at the Zoo which is a ten minute walk from the Stadium as well as various guest houses in the area. For your existing hotel there will be trams/buses from Princes St to and from the venue so no issue there though they will be busy.

The one you have booked is central but Murrayfield is en route from the airport so you would travel past it to get to your hotel ! Try The Hub at Haymarket or Four Points by Sheraton at Haymarket so no travelling through city centre and you are on the direct bus route to and from the airport for the number 100 bus and direct access to tram too . I live 5 min walk from the stadium and have got tickets too, any other questions about the area let me know

If you want to save some money try the premier inn or novo hotel at Edinburgh park. It is a bit out of town (5 minutes on the train) but you can get the tram to the stadium in 5 minutes.
