Absolutely love York, so great to explore! If you have cars maybe a trip to Whitby for a day out too?

Whitby is brilliant! A friend has a static caravan there near the Abbey and we have a girls weekend at least once a year.

We were there just last month and she had booked a tour of the Whitby Gin company, a very small independent company who distill their own Gin ( and have branched out into rum!) they also make their own bottles which have a very specific design and of course you can buy a bottle or three at the end of the tour.

I’m not much of a drinker ( and very rarely gin) but the tour was really interesting and I did enjoy the tasters!

No need to head all the way to Whitby for a Gin Distillery tour - there is a distillery in Stamford Bridge as well https://www.ellersfarmdistillery.com...stillery-tours

We did the bus tour of York and I now know more about York than London. Very interested to see local bad boy Dick Turpins grave, not sure it contains the horse though.

For my friends 60th we did one of the ghost walks which was pretty good fun. I think they’re a few companies that offer them.
There’s a place called pairings which is a wine bar that does charcuterie boards and other bits that looks nice although I’ve not been yet.

Have a great time!

I have just reread your post and realised the Viking Museum isn't on your list. That is certainly worth a visit, sorry I didn't mention it before but I saw museums and didn't read it properly.
