day 5...
breakfast in the villa, another bagel, with sausgae patty, scrambled egg, hash brown and pico de gallo... then we set off at 10:30 for bok tower. B fell asleep in the car almost straight away, so took a bit of a detour via spook hill and lake wales (all the houses on the lake we drove past had trump banners outside) once he woke up, we made it to bok tower, and spent a lovely few hours wandering around and playing in the kids area home for 4ish, via aldi for a few bits, some pool time, and B in bed by 7sih. while he was being settled, i prepped dinner for the two of us (he had some mac and cheese earlier) - teriyaki ramen noodles and ahi tuna steak at first i thought it was #TooMuchTuna, but it turned out to be just enough! full info in my cooking thread... tomorrow, trick or treating at busch gardens, sunday - a trip to the science center, monday florida mall for halloween outfits, then MNSSHP on tuesday and a pool day wednesday! |

I love looking at your cooking posts and this is no different with a trip to Florida too!
Mr B is a little cutie and you can see he loves his food . I had to Google Bob Ross as I thought it was Dave Grohl which I thin would be fitting if recent news is to be believed 😂 |

Day 6... Busch gardens!
Got a "fun pass" cheap a while back, which means we can go as much as we want before the end of the year. Today was a kid friendly Halloween trick or treat thing, so we went to check it oot... Tbh, it wasn't great. They charged $5 for the treat bag, and half the sweets were melty opal fruits! It was much busier than we've ever seen too, with your long queues for almost everything. We still walked the whole park though, so now I'm absolutely knackered! We're going back on a weekday next, so hopefully it'll all be walkons like last year. The only 'ride' we really did was the sky coaster cable car thing, as it was free with the fun pass and was a walkon... It was great! Had a bud light and a booze seltzer thing, which came to $28! Also had a chick fil-a spicy burger and waffle fries, and a kids meal which was about $30. It's also $34 for parking now! It's now 8pm, and B is in the bath before bed. I've got a couple of new York strip steaks out and gimme serve with leftovers from the last couple of days. More on that later in my cooking thread! Gonna be an early night tonight! Tomorrow, we have the science centre in the afternoon *Edit* Steak... Done! Edited at 02:32 PM. |

Ran out of bagels, so breakfast burritos this morning!
Couple of hours in the pool this morning, then naptime till 12:30, and need to be on the road before 1 to get to the science center for 2pm Afterwards, will see what's nearby and pick up a couple of fresh bits for dinner. Or maybe eat out. Will see! |

Day 6...
Morning in the pool, B's nap, then headed to Orlando science center for the half price day. It was nuts! Great fun for kids, B didn't stop running around! We didn't even get off the kids floor, so are gonna go back for a day exploring the rest of the place when it's a bit quieter! Afterwards, we drove a few miles down the road to teak neighborhood grill for burgers... B had the kids pasta. We brought the rest home for his lunch tomorrow! Then back in the pool for an hour before bed We're now settled down with a glass of wine, watching THE CROW reboot... Tomorrow, Florida mall and maybe some more food somewhere, MNSSHP on Tuesday! |

Wow - just caught up with this. Love the way you’ve filled the time doing different things with Mr B! It sounds like you’ve had an incredible time and the food - just Wow! DD is too old for playgrounds etc now, make the most of every minute, they grow up way too fast! It’s reminded me how lovely to just spend time with little ones in play parks etc. x

We were looking at mote marine center to look at some seacows, but all the places are at least 90 mins away, and I'm definitely not going to SeaWorld.
So instead, we're probably gonna do the sealife center and another trip to the science museum (going via the lift to the non-kids floors first this time then letting B go nuts again in a quieter kids area - don't go on a special day or a weekend if you can!) Normal price is around $25 each, and IMO is a great way to spend a day Just finished THE CROW. Wow! What an awful movie! that last 30ims is great fun, but it's not worth sitting through the first hour for the payoff - see my review in the movies forum Oh, I also had a publix pizza dough ball that was overproofed, so I made a loaf out of it. Gonna make a massive sandwich out of it... |
