Confused about after hours

We have booked MK after hours for April 5th 10pm - 0100 and also have the normal day ticket.Do we have to leave the park and come back or can we stay all day and just activate the after hours bit later on?

Our WDW Holiday.

You can stay, not sure when but you generally are allowed in early anyway. At some point you will get a band for your After Hours
