Star Wars rides for 5 year old

Are any of the Star Wars rides appropriate for a 5 year old? He hasn't watched the films but loves the lego.

It depends on height.

Star Tours 40” (102cm) or taller
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run 38” (97cm) or taller
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance 40” (102cm) or taller

I can't comment on Rise of the Resistance Ride just Millennium Falcon Ride.

This is assuming he meets the height requirement.

The seats are single seats, one behind the other, 3 on the left wall, 3 on the right wall. There is a lap seat belt on each seat.

The pilot sits at the control desk, with the gunner and engineer behind them.

The gunner and engineer positions are basically like Simon Says, lights will flash up on the wall, and you have to hit them in sequence.

The right pilot has an up and down gear stick and pulls the light speed lever.
The left pilot has a left and right gear stick.

It can get bumpy depending how well the pilots steer and how much crashing happens.

I would say with young kids, the gunner or engineer position would be best, as its just mashing flashing buttons on the side wall. However, the button mashing does still affect the outcome of the ride. You get a ride report at the end, which grades the accuracy of the shots fired by the gunner and how well the engineer "fixed" damages and fires .

You will be given your positions by the CM before you board your pod. However you can swap any position with any else in your assigned group. There have been reports of CM's giving kids the pilot position. If this happens to you, I would swap / give it to an adult in your assigned group.
