love our Tempur mattress. Some people do find them too warm though. If you can't get interest free why not do a balance transfer for a small fee and set up a direct debit?

I love my Tempur mattress which I did pay over £2k for (on 0% finance and didn't really notice the monthly payments going out of my account).

However DH didn't like it and found it too hot. Between that and both of us being super snorers, he moved bedrooms and treated himself to this:

amazon/Promotion-B.../dp/B072LPKL7X

At £219 and with great reviews, he thought it was worth a try. He would say it's just as good as the Tempur with the added bonus of keeping him cooler.

It also came with a free memory foam bolster pillow which is the comfiest he's ever used.

We tried a Tempur when we were looking, but went for a Casper which we found to be more comfortable and a 3rd of the price.

There are so many alternatives which are far cheaper and at least as good to make the need to spend that sort of money unnecessary IMO.

Agreed. This one had a 60 day trial. My DH was sold immediately, I took a bit longer but do find it very comfy. There are so many choices out there, but not all are £2.5k !

My parents had a Tempur mattress, they spent over £4k on the bed in total, my dad loved it, my mum hated it, despite liking it in the shop.

I'm not a big fan of memory foam pillows or mattresses, I just don't find them comfortable to sleep on, no idea why, I clearly take after my mum!

We have a Henry Smeaton mattress which is a traditional spring mattress but hand made (albeit it has 8700 springs!), it's a similar price range but I've honestly never slept on anything so comfortable, I used to find the Disney beds so comfortable, but now I look forward to coming home to my own bed, it's ruined me! Kate & Wills have one, if it's good enough for them...

I think the John Lewis outlet in Swindon might be worth a visit (in the outlet centre).

I'm another who finds the tempur mattresses to be too hot! I can just about cope with it but I wish I'd known before we bought it as it definitely would have put me off.
