Mobile Fastpass strategy

It’s my fastpass day today and I’ve seen a lot of people say do popular rides and then work backwards from your last day to first day.. forgive me but can anyone explain why it’s better to work backwards?!

If you work backwards there is less people booking as the 60 day window opens for on site guest most will start at the beginning plus if you have 2 weeks then your booking will be longer than those going for a shorter stay so less likely to have the struggle to get the headliners,
If two people are at 60 days 1 stays for 5 and one for 10, both will be looking for the first 5 but the 10 person will have the next 5 all on own😆
There is a fast pass avalibilty calender on this site in theme park tools, which shows you ride and attractions that will really help too.
Hope this makes sense.☺

The hardest to get fast passes (eg Slinky Dog and FOP) won’t have any availability at 60 days and you may have to look at 70 days to get the times you want. If you start at the end of your holiday you can get (hopefully!) those fast passes and then move on to the easier to obtain rides. Best of luck!

It's to do with the number of people that can get fastpasses on that day. 60 days is available to everyone onsite. 60 +10 is available to everyone that checks in before 60 days and has at least a 10 day ticket, which is a considerably smaller number.

TBH it takes about 30mins to plug in 2 weeks worth of fast passes if you’ve roughly planned what you want and on what days, so chopping and changing days will be minimal difference to availability, but you can work backwards if needed (as some recommend).

This is for onsite though.
