Inventions or Cafe Mickey?

Hi,

I'm taking my DS to DLP on his 4th birthday as a surprise in December & I want a special first day meal for him on his Birthday.

I'm currently torn between Cafe Mickey & Inventions.

We've had breakfast in Cafe Mickey a few times & loved it, but I've heard poor reviews about dinner there.

Any thoughts? Thank you

Inventions is an absolute world awayin terms of quality of food, and has much more space for interaction. And now that Cafe Mickey is a set menu only, it's not great value for money.

We went in December 2015... Inventions was our favourite. The good was great and the character interaction was fab too.

It's a bit of a no brainer for me - Inventions every time. The food is infinity superior and the character interaction is amazing.
My top tip - (esp with a 4 yr old) is that the main room (an octagonal room past the buffet area) is really loud, bright and can be a bit chaotic, especially when there are lots of characters in there with the kids. I always request a table NOT in that room - we have a quieter meal where DD (3) does actually eat, and the characters are not rushing or being hassled to go to the next table. 0verall, a much nicer dining experience.

Thanks all. Can you get a table near the buffet. It's just me and DS so I like to be able to watch him while I get the food

Yes, they have tables right by the buffet - just request one at the rostrum when you check in (make sure you make a reservation in advance though).
We always check in about 10 mins early to give them time to find us a table where we want to be...
