1/2 board meal plan, where to eat
Hi all
As it is our first trip to DLP looking for some advice on where to eat, we have the 1/2 board meal plan, I am thinking buffet style would be best but also don't want to pay a vast amount on top of the vouchers, anyone with any advice YB |

staying at the Newport Bay, you have plus plan vouchers included. So for buffets, you have the choice of the dinner buffet restaurants at your own hotel (Cape Cod), the Sequoia Lodge (Beavers Creek or Hunters Grill, I can't remember which one) and the Parkside Diner at the Hotel New York. I'd try all of them, they are all good in my opinion. You get one soft drink included with the voucher, so you'd only pay for extra drinks at the buffet restaurants.
There are no plus buffet restaurants in the parks or the Village, but there are table service choices there for your plus plan vouchers. |

Hi Sammy thanks for that, so am I correct that all the buffet style restaurants are attached to hotels, would you have recommendations for table service?

blue lagoon and walts in the main park, Bistro Chez Remy in the Studios, and Cafe Mickey in the Village. These are all on the plus plan, you might want to take a look at the menus though, as they all have a different theme, and the food choices may not suit. Cafe Mickey has just done away with their a la carte menu altogether, so your only choice now has to come from a set menu there.

The places you can use your voucher will be written on the voucher. I would say that unless you really want to eat at buffet style places you might want to look at the set menus in the table service places in your category. You should be able to get Walt's which is on Main Street and Blue Lagoon at the beginning of Pirates as has been mentioned, we always eat in at least one of these.
You can eat in any of the places in your category or below so if you really wanted a buffet it is possible. Plaza Gardens at the top of Main Street is a good choice. I don't know if Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel is included in your category. Don't forget if you want to eat at a higher category of restaurant or don't want the set meal you can use the vouchers at face value and pay the rest.

Inventions is premium category unfortunately so you would have to "pay towards". It is a good buffet though...
