OB and AJ do Vegas - Day 5 - A day off (as such.)

Day 5 - A day off.

Well, as such.

We have nothing on the itinery today, so we got up and headed out to The Wynn by taxi (very lazy, as strip fans will know ) as we were just short of a free breakfast on our Wynn Players card.

Note: I am going to write up a seperate report when I get home on Gambling in Vegas, and the freebies that come therefrom.

We were told yesterday that 100 points meant free buffet for one, so we had that on one card and set about getting it on the other.

Mel racked up the needed points onto the card, whilst I won $177 from a $1 bet in a mad fit of good luck.

When we headed to the Club stand to get our brekky, we found out that we actually had two on each card! This was an easy free brekkie folks. So we went and had it.

Another fantastic brekkie buffet. So much choice. Chinese for breakast again! Then ice cream, key lime pie... Well, I guess you know the routine by now.

After brekkie, we headed back to the Mirage to go to the pool. It seems in Vegas that if you are not a guest at the hotel, you can't get into the pool. We called the Wynn for example, and even an offer of money for poolage was refused.

The Mandalay Bay with its lazy river, of which I love, was a no go too.

But the Mirage pool was fine and dandy, and we got a wicked pair of loungers next to the waterfall, so as well as being in the glorious Nevada sun, we had a constant fine mist of spray rolling in from the north to keep us cool.

It's only 2:30pm now, so it's off to see what trouble we can get into elsewhere!
