I'm looking forward to my first DLP stay, sounds like I'll have to do spend a few hours doing a resort tour as all the resorts sound lovely.

Sarah, we're also staying at Newport Bay, on the Admiral's Floor, which seems to get good reviews. We're going August, so hopefully the refurb will be done by then. Friends of ours loved it there. SL seems popular on here, but they don't do family rooms, which is what we need.
OP - let us know which you choose. We considered DLH for August, it would have cost £3000 for the 5 of us, which we thought was quite good, but not worth the extra as we won't be in the hotel that much, especially in August.

Glad to see someone else is staying at Newport Bay, I know SL is a Dibb fave but apart from the actual building I don't like the look of it, well the rooms and I like hotel rooms to look nice.
I've seen pictures of the returned rooms at NPB and think they look nice, love the Mickey headboard |

I just stayed at the Disneyland hotel and loved it we got about 45% off on Expedia including quidco discount. We loved it but would never pay full price.
We have also stayed at the sequoia and we loved it too, when are you thinking of going? It maybe worth paying more to stay closer to the parks in the winter and further out in the summer when the parks are open late?

Thanks I'm thinking either May or June (2014), my current plans are Disneyland Hotel Castle Club but I do like the look of Sequoia and if they go ahead with a club floor that would be a consideration.
I like to spend time at a resort relaxing too so I'm taking that into account, ie it won't be just somewhere to sleep. |

If you can afford DLH I am sure it would be wonderful.
Take a look at some trip reports - Geoffa has stayed there and done some trippies.
