Hi,
We are going in September for a week, it is our first time. I booked this as a surprise for my OH's 40th Birthday. We are staying at the Ramada Jumeirah Hotel. We are looking at things to do and see if anyone has any suggestions. I am in the process of downloading the Entertainer app as I type. Thanks, Marie

What type of thing do you like? There is a special offer on entertainer today, got an email earlier.
What do you have included at hotel? Fountains are lovely to see, Friday brunch is always good to do. Trip into the desert is fun but September is still a bit hot although it’s cooling down from summer |

Hi,
We like eating out and drinking; I have looked into a couple of brunches, Bubbalicious & Saffron and provisionally booked, only downside is we arrive Friday morning (overnight flight) but I'm sure we will be fine if we get a couple of hours on the flight. Does anyone have any reviews on Pure Sky Lounge? I'm also thinking about the Explorer Pass; Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari & Waterpark & another? Only things I'm really unsure about is the eating and drinking out with our hotel, we like to have a few drinks with our meals so any recommendations would be great? Thanks, Marie

Bubbalicious is my favourite brunch and I also like the one in latitude/kitchen connection at JBH.
Water parks - aquaventure at Atlantis is slightly better than Wild Wadi at JBH IMO but you will possibly get a decent discount or maybe 2 for 1 access at Wild Wadi using the ismebyJumeirah app. As well as the entertainer, download ismebyJumeirah app as that has 100’s of 2for1 meals and brunches plus its free so even if you don’t use it you won’t have spent anything. Alcohol is expensive. We always stay club so which includes a couple of hours of alcohol and cocktails each evening. We also call to the duty free in Dubai airport after we have collected our luggage and pick up a couple of bottles. |

For the desert safari/adventure look at the entertainer app. However, in September avoid being out there at midday. It will be very hot and will spoil your entertainment. Go early morning or even do an evening trip, we did one years ago and really enjoyed it

Hi, I'm pricing up trips to Dubai as a family of 3 (with 11 year old DS) visiting for the first time. I'm thinking of a 7 night stay at the Lapita with daily access to the Dubai Parks each day. I was all set to book for February half term and just thought I'd check prices for May half term. They're quite a bit cheaper but I'm concerned it might be too hot at that time of year to enjoy the theme parks?
So I was then looking at other hotels/areas for May and the Grand Hyatt is coming up with a good price and comes recommended by a friend, but I have no idea what else there is to do in that area. Cost is an important factor as it's a bit of an extra trip (doing Disney next month and a 10 night stay at Universal summer 2020) so don't want to spend a fortune. Am I better sticking with Lapita - and would May be too hot? Or any other recommendations for a week at May with waterparks or other things in the area to keep us entertained? We love a theme park/water park really. Thank you! |

No doubt that May is very hot but it really depends how you tolerate heat. We were fine in May and providing you plan your days accordingly its easily manageable. It’s the latest I would go and I would never go in July/August.
February can be hit and miss, my friends go out each year and this time and generally get decent weather but have had a few bad days. Area wise, everything is pretty close by and it’s relatively cheap and easy to get about by taxi. If I was in your shoes I’d chose Lapita in May |

Thanks Colette, that's really helpful. We've been to Florida in August and found the heat very manageable, so if it's comparable to that in May I think we'd be fine.
Are there many restaurants etc around the theme park area (that don't cost a fortune)? Some days we'll want to keep costs down by just grabbing a quick bite somewhere cheap if we can (e.g. McD's and the like) if they have that sort of place? Thanks again. Think I'll be booking tonight! |
