Ive been following your story since the very beginning and often think of Isabel. I am a stage 4 breast cancer patient and whilst I managed to get insurance at a reasonable price, I had problems in the early days and I know quite a few others who have had issues. I am in quite a few fb support groups and just this week someone posted details of an insurance broker who would search for insurance on your behalf. Might be worth a try

Just thought I'd point out the following on Disney's Ts&Cs from the above:

Looks like Disney themselves are stipulating that you need 6 months remaining on your passport to visit Florida for some reason.

same here last quote for DD was £2824. Need to try to get insurance next year !
