Plate or bowl

I am serving a one pot rice dish when friends come round for supper tomorrow. Would you serve it on a plate or in a bowl?

TIA

I like a nice wide bowl. We have some shallow pasta dishes that I would use for this.

Bowl. Easier to eat and less spillages.

Bowl for sure. I have a lovely bowl but I like it to much to just keep in cupboard so would have to temporarily re-home apples and oranges.
