Words Fail me
Time to scrap it and cut funding to the BBC. Let them survive by advertising. They have passed their sell by date. Too biased now, Lord Reith would not recognise it at all now.

It's not really a shock, from April 2017 it was stated for the following 5 years it would rise with the level of inflation

Total waste of money for us. As far as we are concerned they should raise their income via advertising.
Plus some of their best programs are unwatchable as they seem incapable of getting the sound quality right - and no it's not my deafness it has been widely reported as a big issue for them.

It's all of £3. About the cost of one Costa coffee. Per year. It's hardly a big deal. If you can't raise an extra £3 a year then you have bigger worries than being able to watch the next series of ... (insert TV show of choice here).

However, I do think perhaps the BBC should look into other funding models, whether via advertising, subscription-based, or something else. But that's something different to increasing the current cost in line with inflation.
