I would give it 1 hour to give yourself time to buy any snacks; takes around 45 mins depending on where you are setting off from. The snacks are so cheap there, last time we bought a pizza, drinks, sweets and don't think it cost $10. We always buy there as it helps to keep the place running; the ticket prices are ridiculously cheap and there are not many of these drive-ins left.
A lot of people do stay in the car but I've also seen people sit on blankets on the floor or picnic chairs - bring mossie repellent. You hear the movie inside the car by tuning your radio into the channel, they'll let you know which one. |

there are posts with speakers on you can park/sit next to as well as using the car stereo or a portable FM radio.
the cinema is at the bottom of a "hill" so if youre near the back you should still be able to see ok... the screens are *massive* so unless youre sat directly behind an SUV, youll be fine (theres around a 20ft gap between each row of cars, and theres some benches near the food stand you can sit on if all else fails. make sure you take insect repellent! and yeah, snacks there are *very* reasonably priced. we ate like kings and spent less than $20 between the two of us hth |
