Disney Bus Crash Near Epcot!

News Just In: Tuesday 23rd March, 7:51pm, UK Time.

Eight people were injured, one seriously, because of a crash involving two buses near Epcot, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A Walt Disney World bus hit the back of a Waldorf tour bus about 2:30 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol said.
The Mears bus had stopped in a right-hand lane, but it was not clear why. It was rear-ended by the Disney bus.
All of the injured passengers were on the Disney bus, and the most seriously hurt was the driver of that bus, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The driver, who has not been identified, was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center
The driver of the Mears bus had no passengers, and the driver of that bus was outside the vehicle when the accident happened.
Troopers are at the scene.
Reedy Creek Fire Department responded and is being assisted by Orange County Fire-Rescue.
All in bound traffic towards Epcot has been stopped at this time.

The Disney Bus in the image is blocking the view of the 'mangled' bus that crashed, so passers by dont panic.

shocking news i wonder why the waldorf bus was stationery like that and the driver not in the coach- maybe he had broken down. hope all ok

We went into Epcot about 1pm from Hollywood Studios and left Epcot about 18.00 didnt hear about it from the staff...

It's lucky that it happened in the middle of the day...we all know how packed in you are first and last thing! So hopefully not so many passengers on board

What a horrible thing to happen - hope everyone recovers ok from the accident. Hasn't really been a good period for Disney transport.
