Changes afoot at Universal Orlando

I can't say i will miss this ride, but i'm sure kids will miss it.
I am excited to see what goes in there! Any ideas on when the new ride will open?

I love Despicable Me, so that would be good. Seems quite likely as when we went to Universal last year they had people dressed up like the minions from Despicable Me walking around! We were confused at the time as we hadn't seen the movie... now i wish i had taken our picture with them!

For me the most dissapointing ride in US is Disaster! I don't mind the bit at the end in the subway, just dislike all the preamble!

I always love trying new rides!

We've not done this one either so hopefully we'll get a go in June too!

From what you've all said, I'm guessing it's a bit like the Simpsons and Spiderman rides?

If you become a fan of Universal studios on facebook they are releasing hints about the new ride! A lot of people on the Universal studios facebook page are saying it's despicable me... but it's just a rumor

It's a shame that this is going, we really liked this rife. I agree with others that twister or disaster would have been above this on my list for the chop.

Ride closed since last Monday, went today and still closed. Asked if it would be open again and was told that it was closed now for the full refurb. Due to re-open soon.

My guess is a SpongeBob Ride due to all the SpongeBob stuff on sale and Spongebob being at the exit of the old ride! (loads more than last year) when I asked was told couldn't possibly let me know!
