Winter Park Boat Trip

Hi there We are planning to do a Winter Park boat trip when we are in Florida in August (we were supposed to go on one when we got married at Leu Gardens, as part of the package, but we were rained off That was 16 years ago )
So my question is, do you think that we need to book this trip or will it be ok just to turn up on the day? After all we don't want to get rained off again if we book a certain day.
Thanks for any help

We did not book as we were worried about weather but then the day turned out to be perfect. We arrived early for the first trip of the day and by the time our trip returned there was quite a queue so it can be popular but it is worth doing.

We have done this trip many times and have always just turned up and have never had any problems getting on.

That said we have only ever been 'off season' so don't know what it is like when it is peak season!

As everyone has said well worth it and a perfect relaxation after all the Parks overdose.

Again we have only ever gone off-season (May or November) and it has never been too busy. One time we were walking up to the ticket office and the boat had just cast off but after seeing us the captain turned back so we didn't have to wait an hour.

Whilst you are in Winter Park also worth having a look at the Morse Museum famous for its collection of Tiffany glass

Mick

I agree Mick, a day away from the hectic parks will be very welcome. Last time we went to Leu Gardens to see if it was the same as when we got married there back in 1998 and it was lovely and quiet.
Will be great to see all the lovely houses and wish we had won the lottery

We've done this trip a number of times and always enjoy it. I don't think you can book (but may be wrong). When there are a lot of guests they generally put on another boat. Great value at $12.
