Clearwater Beach and Tampa Bay Rays game in one day..is this do-able? !

Hi,we are planning a day at Clearwater when we go in August and whilst we are down there would love to go watch the Rays play the Red Sox on the same day!
We know it would be a very long day but think it is doable.
Has anybody done this beforehand and if so are there any facilities to get changed and showered?
Thanks

We went last year and just went for the game. If it started later or you got to the beach early I can't see why not

We're planning on doing this but won't be driving back to Kissimmee after the game. Looking to book a reasonable hotel in Tampa and then go to Busch Gardens the following day.
