Maybe a slight tangent, but as we always go in October each year we've started to feel a little short changed across all the parks.
Halloween is naturally a massive money earner for all parks - not just MK - but Halloween themed nights/events seem to now start earlier and finish later each year... which means the likes of Universal and Busch closing really early most days to accommodate these nights. Now I realise we have a choice, can go different time of the year etc,etc but the ticket costs are no different, only your opening hours are a lot less - effectively unless you are doing a Halloween themed night you are unlikely to be able to experience a lot of these parks at night in October. There, mini rant over... |

It doesn't make any difference to us, our park habits have changed over the years.
On our first visit (visit of a lifetime etc) we were at the parks at opening and stayed until they closed. Now we tend to hit the parks at opening then retire to the pool late afternoon before heading out for something to eat. We are now visiting several times a year so don't have the pressure to get it all done on every trip. |

Different for every person I suppose, but to us it has made and will make no difference. Our park and visit habits have evolved, what was once a must do is now a meh. The old adage of 'take time to smell the roses' is much more apt these days.
We don't wait for the parades any more, if we are around when they are ready to pass then great, but up to that point we are doing other stuff. As we have seen the parades many times we don't feel the need to 'waste' time camping out for that once in a lifetime perfect spot. Getting on rides is less of an issue now due to a combination of the mobile MDE and being able to use DAS. |
