Volcano bay vs universal

Hey everyone!

Last time we went to volcano bay we had early morning access which we don’t have this year! I’m trying to decide what’s better

-get to volcano bay for when it opens stay a few hours (it’s all we every need in water parks) then hit universal when we are finished
-or go to universal first thing when it opens hit as many rides as we can while the queues are quieter then hit volcano bay after lunch.

I know equally will get busy but I was wondering if having the tapu lime system will help us in the afternoon if we go to volcano bay in the afternoon. Any advise would help

When we visited last year (July)- they stopped entry due to reaching capacity about 11-12, so I imagine it depends on dates ?
For example In July/Aug, I would not entertain the idea of visiting either park after 11 due to queues but if had to pick one, would def do VB first, followed by US
Can you not do early day VB and then early day US day after?

We are there in September! We possibly could do that it’s just this trip we are trying to fit in more than normal so I was trying to combine universal and volcano bay days.
