Mobile Cats the movie

Hi
I’m hoping to see it over the holidays as it looks great from the trailer. However a lot of the reviews are rubbish 😫 Has anyone seen it and what did you think? I’ve never seen the stage version so won’t be comparing it to anything.

I haven't seen the stage version but went to the cinema to see it, I would say it was just "ok" , I enjoyed the music and some good actors playing the parts and I think to get the benefit of it it's better to see on the big screen rather than wait to watch it on TV .
They show most of the "best bits" in the trailer .
I wouldn't want to watch it again though.

I'm booked to see it tonight but am regretting it due to the bad reviews, it wasn't my choice but my friend wanted to go so I agreed.

We loved it! So much so, we’re going again on Friday. If you love Musicals, you’ll love it. It’s a film of a stage show so there isn’t much of a plot but the singing & dancing are superb & it’s worth the admission price just to hear Jennifer Hudson sing ‘Memories’ imo.
Each to his/her own taste of course but personally speaking, I found some of the critics’ comments far more offensive than anything in this movie.

I managed not to cry but I must admit to clapping (quietly).

I’ve seen Cats in London (original - showing my age.lol) & on Broadway but I’ve never heard it sung better than that.

Thanks that’s good to hear and yes I love most musicals and Jennifer Hudson is a brilliant singer 👍

I actually shivered and got goosebumps listening to it , it would be lost if it wasn't seen on the big screen .
The acting was great too, you have to love musicals though to appreciate it .

I loved the stage show but hated the movie. In the stage show it was easy to lose sight of the fact that the cats were just humans "dressed up" but with the movie I felt the cast was "overdone" if that makes sense with the result that I was bored stiff, Singing was good but I can listen to soundtrack from stage show anytime - at home.

I saw the original stage how twice and loved it. Don’t think I could bear to see the film in case I hate it.
