I must admit I thought my son who was with us and is 25 would be asked for ID every time he asked for a beer in August at restaurants but he was only asked twice - at chillis and in city walk. Dont think he looks particularly old either.

We have to accept the laws and restrictions where we visit on holiday.
Me and my wife hold hands most times when we’re out and about, when we flew to Thailand and stopped in a Arab country it was against the law. Did we insist that we hold hands where were from or respect the law. We carried on with our holiday and kept our hands to ourselves. They are not bothered what we do in England, at home or what we normally do yesterday that is the law. If we had a problem with it we wouldn’t have travelled there. After 16+ visits across us and Canada underage drinking is a huge no no. |

This is true! As I entered Walmart liquor store with my 16&14 year olds, the staff warned me that if the minors touched the alcohol then I would not be served

Wouldn’t let us buy any alcohol in Walmart when dd and ds were under age. I think dd was 14 and ds was 20, I have always wondered if we bought a gun would we have got served. We went to another Walmart and they waited outside and dh got served. The alcohol wasn’t for the kids anyway!

Yes, you if you wenti into Walmart with a gun you'd be served.
You'd get shot by the police when you tried to make an escape though. |

I believe they meant if they'd tried to buy a gun there (bought) rather than taking one in (brought). Who in their right mind would take a gun in order to get served!

This happened to us in wallmart my OH picked up the beers and put them on the check out, the check out lady went ballistic and said I can not buy it now a minor has been allowed to handle it.
To her horror my misses pulled out a driving licence and said I am 33 years old not 13. No apologies nothing just a shrug of the shoulders and carried on serving me.
