A couple of days in Dallas. Any suggestions?

We're on the verge of cancelling our August on-site WDW holiday so we're thinking about options for next year.
If travel restrictions have eased and infection numbers are down etc, we're thinking of visiting DH brother & family in Oklahoma in July or August.
We'd fly in to Dallas Fort Worth and probably stay in that area for a couple of nights before driving the 3 hours to their house.
Any suggestions on what to do? We'll have DS & DD who will be 9 & 4.

When we did a couple of days in Dallas we went to the JFK museum, up the tower and spent some time in Fort Worth. Fort Worth was the highlight.

We really enjoyed Fort Worth when we visited.
I also enjoyed my visit to Southfork,as I was a massive Dallas fan when I was a teenager.

Thanks. The more I read, the more I'm leaning towards a couple of nights in Fort Worth.
I was more of a Dynasty fan (but only because that's what my mum watched more regularly)

A rodeo, Fort Worth stock yards, hurricane Harbor is a water park and we went to South Fork!

We went to a baseball game, a basketball game, went up Reunion Tower, JFK museum, comedy show at the House of Blues, tour of the AT&T stadium and to the Stockyards Rodeo. There's Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor too but we went too early in the season for those to be open.

We really enjoyed Fort Worth and the Stockyards are great fun. JFK museum is worth visiting in Dallas and the Cowboys stadium has a good tour. Have fun!
