Do not forget to water the newly laid grass, most days in the current weather.

Don’t worry - the kids will be the watering elves.

Hadn’t thought about a possible hosepipe ban
Might have to ignore Boris if it comes into force - it might give the curtain twitchers something different to look at than the lockdown breaking

Looks like you have done a great job of this - hope you have enjoyed taking it easy today, laying turf tends to do my back for days after

Have taken it easy today. Did have a walk this morning - maybe three or miles but fell asleep for a while in the conservatory this afternoon

It’s not quite as good as it looks in the pictures - still a few patches where the turf quality wasn’t as good as others , but seems to have taken well , looks very green and clearly growing

Looks great! Got to laugh though as the ad just under your post is for artificial grass! 😆

I love the blocks around the path, so much nicer than regular block paving , ours always looks grubby as it was put down by the previous owner and not matched properly

Thank you . The whole drive is like that . Looks great especially just after rain which brings the colours out

We got really lucky maybe 15 years ago when a builder friend bought a massive old house and knocked it down and built about 4 on the land .
He had to dig up their huge drive and gave us these

My DD repointed a load last year - many of the joins had completely gone so lots of heavy relifting and resetting - but she did a great job. Some of the ones near the top of the drive could do with just tarting up the pointing but it still looks great especially when power washed and really unusual for a modern house

We did contemplate extending the drive instead of turfing as there were planters on that part of the garden from the same cobbles but it would have been a lot of work and we would have needed some more cobbles which we thought wouldn’t quite match so wouldn’t work
