Mobile Virgin and seats blocked for space?

Virgin have announced there will be a seat space between group bookings on flights
How do you think they will enforce this on planes that are already full?
We are in premium from Manchester on November 19th and it’s just about full on the seat plan already

Maybe they will offer incentive for people to cancel - or they just wait want watch people cancel as they are not prepared to travel anyway.

What I’m interested in is will there still be someone sat directly behind me? And the spare seat between parties - will they enforce it stays empty or can people in that party decide to give themselves more room and use it?

They cant really have spare seats behind (and in front) - cant see how it would be financially viable to operate the flight.

There are 6 of us .. going to check to see how busy our flight is atm ..
We have chosen in front of the bathrooms so no one behind on either flight and no one in front but people either side .. seem to be quite a few empty seats toward the back so who knows who they’ll move .. really hope it’s not us 😞

On our Sep flights there is a min. Of 43 ppl booked into PE (not sure if bulkheads are blocked off or booked) the new planes only have 35 or 48 PE seats depending on which one they use.
No way to keep empty seats between parties.
I would happily offer to cancel my 2 seats if it meant I got a refund

The wording they are using about this is very wishy washy "try to leaved seats empty" etc

of course they may have no option given the number of people confirming they are cancelling on here.
