Yes almost a week ago though. I thought they would have been some sort of update by now.

Definitely hoping we would have heard by now, seeing as it’s says there are “available options”.

I spoke to Disney earlier today about our Aug booking and options (we have decided not to go and will move to next Aug). They said balances are moved to 35 days before arrival rather than 8 weeks and options are still being agreed and I would eventually receive an email. They wouldn’t advise me of any on the call.
Thanks

Clearly it's taking them awhile.

There's still over another 5 weeks until the parks reopen, so they may think there's no rush to release any more info this soon.

BTW, what info are you waiting for? The only things I can think of is what discount (if any) people with a free dining package will get and maybe some more information about this park reservation system. Oh, and what the "options" available to us will be - see below...

I suspect the available options will be along the lines of:

1. Cancel your booking and receive a full refund,
2. Accept whatever discount offer they provide and keep your current booking minus any dining plan,
3. Amend the booking to a later date, probably in 2021, with no amendment fee but you may have to pay extra if the price is more and you'll probably lose any dining plan you might have.

I suspect they are running the numbers to determine what to offer people based on what impact it has to their profits. Then they'll have to run that through gate reviews at various levels of management to get the go ahead.

BTW, it just goes to show that you can't trust anything you read on social media. Lots of people were adamant that we'd get another statement from Disney on Monday. But we didn't.

5 weeks until the parks open, but people will have balances due or will be looking to make alternative arrangements.

No idea what options they will give, but could very likely determine if we go or not this year (we had free dining).

I don’t think it’s surprising that people are anxious on getting some more information.

I’m waiting because Disney asked people not to get in touch until they were contacted with the options. It’s frustrating though because there’s good availability at multiple resorts for our dates next year and I’d love to call now and just change it.

Given that Disney won't know when UK and European guests will be allowed into the country, I suspect at the moment they are concentrating primarily on their US guests. They make up the vast majority of their visitors.
