Mobile Changing Tui package

I wasn’t sure if this should go in general trip plan or current topic forum, so Mods, please move if necessary

We currently have a booking for Mexico for October with a Tui package. The balance is due mid July. We don’t feel comfortable with going to Mexico but would feel fine travelling closer to home, possibly Spain

We could change our booking now, possibly with a £50 pp admin fee, to Spain which means it would cost us much less when the balance is due and we would be happy to travel there by October.

However, we could not travel if the 14 day quarantine is still in place here when we return as DH would have to return to work. Has anyone been told if they would be covered by travel insurance or if Tui would refund due to the quarantine rules. I’ve searched the Tui Coronavirus page and can’t find anything helpful and I know they are impossible to get hold of. I just wondered if anyone else has changed their holiday destination for later this year with them and know how it would work if there are still travel restrictions in place by then

Would like to know the answer to this too as we have moved Florida to next year, thinking about doing a holiday swap and moving our Greece holiday with Tui from next year to this year as feeling positive about being able to go late summer (If we couldn’t would just move back to next year) but would need to pay up front and would be unable to do the quarantine.

That’s how we feel. Would travel short haul but fear the quarantine could still be in place by then. I would be ok if they said we could then move it to next year but it’s just impossible to get hold of Tui to ask the questions 😔

We moved our holiday with Tui online before we paid the balance and did not have to pay admin fees

Thank you that’s really helpful, I’m hoping we won’t have to pay the admin fees too
