Bought hubs a new pair of Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro pods from eBay, being a musician he's fussy about sound, they're superb, excellent bass and overall quality sound, highly recommend. I like the 2 Pro so much I'm buying myself a pair.

Having had about 5 sets of cheap EarPods and some not so cheap including not so cheap Ankher ones, none lasted or worked as well with pairing etc, and frankly became a right royal pain in the ass. I had one pair of Ankher fail to charge after a few months, and then another I gave up when I was in the gym at Aventura Hotel and it kept cutting out. I’ve had all sorts of others as well, including Powerbeats which failed twice (bought the first pair off a mate for 50, they failed which Apple replaced in warranty, and the warranty pair failed too), and many cheaper ones too. Powerbeats are an inferior Apple product.

Eventually I bought the real thing as in Apple AirPods and it’s like night and day. Thing is I definately spent more adding up all the cheaper versions than the real thing cost!

Would have to agree. Finally took the plunge and bought the new airpods pro. They have cost a lot of money (or as I see it 3 weeks of me not having to buy petrol). They are a different class to the cheap ones I had before. Its the auto connection sound when you put them in your ear.

There’s proper cheap versions if you look on the Wish website here: wish

Yes they are Chinese knock offs and delivery will be circa 3-4 weeks but hey for a fiver they’re almost disposable! (Yes I appreciate the sound quality will be substandard but cheap ‘n’ cheerful!)

Aldi are selling ones for £25. Online from Sunday 7th.

I don’t know if they’re any good.

We bought DS some Mifo wireless earbuds for Christmas and we’re currently on our third pair. However still having problems with these so they’ll be going back too and will demand a refund. Going to get some AirPods 😬

I was going to buy cheap ones for DS aged 15 as I thought he’d be likely to lose them
However I saw a watchdog (I think) programme that said some of the cheaper ones can damage hearing .
Bought him some Gen 2 AirPods - he absolutely loves them .
