Thoughts on ADRs and lower capacity parks
I watched a video yesterday of a run through of how the Shanghai parks will operate and have had a few thoughts on it. For the counter service restaurants I can see that they will have place cards on the tables to stop people sitting there, so that the tables can be further apart. I'm now starting to wonder how this will work for table service restaurants, considering reservations have already been made, and also so far in advance. Do you think that Disney already predicted this, and so lowered the amount of bookings to be made in advance, or do you think that cancellations will start coming out as they won't be able to accommodate the amount of tables as normal?
I was just thinking as some restaurants aren't very big to begin with and the tables are quite close together.. In relation to this, and thinking of the potential for Orlando to also bring in the tickets with a set date/time on them, I wonder what happens if you have a reservation for CRT for example, but were unable to get a ticket for MK for that day, and they're now at max capacity. Sorry, a lot of waffle, but these are the thoughts going through my head today! |

this is our worry too so we are only putting a deposit down for our May holiday and will cancel when the balance is due if we cant get our ADRs and social distancing is still in place- we want to upgrade to the new Dining Plan Plus so definitely wont be going if we cant get our first choice of ADRs

I would really hope that by May it should be a bit more normal By the time you get to your ADR date you'll hopefully be able to see what is happening in the parks already if they have opened by then. We had wanted to pay for the DDP as well, but obviously I wouldn't want to add that on if I can't use it for the ADR's we've already made! I've been holding back on contacting them to add it on until I have a better idea of what's going on.

Theres always a mad queue to get inside Sam's anyway so with even more reduced capacity it'll be basically impossible!
I'm trying to think of sit down places which have close together tables - all I can think of is San Angel Inn and Be Our Guest off the top of my head. I imagine they'll have to take some tables out? It'll be the exclusivity of Victoria and Alberts without the price tag
