So if you booked a trip next year then Disney could allow you to use your annual pass for that time but only that time.
So hows that work?

You can use for this year as normal (even if you can that is!) but then next year you get a 30 day window?

That sounds good.

Currently we have 2 passes noted for a partial refund with Disney. The CM was very helpful when we rang but understandably they are not sure how it will all be worked out but she was quite sure nothing will happen until they have a firm re-opening date.
1. So if the parks are closed for say 3 months you get 3 months refund? Or is it refund from march until pass expires (in my case september).

Getting 4 months refund or 4 months extension is probably not what I'd want. In effect, would mean I've paid 2/3rd of an annual pass to use just one holiday when we'd planned to use twice.

I have emailed disney though

Refunded from when the parks closed until the end of the AP. The AP is then cancelled.

That may well be best option for me since it'd mean a 6 1/2 month refund...

Trouble is I've still not given up for end August so would rather wait and see.

Although I could get refund for this one and buy new one in august if needs be...

It won't be six months unless the parks don't open until the end of September. Currently it will be 2 to 3 months depending if the parks open in June or July.

It's to when the parks reopen or when the AP expires if it expires before reopening, which ever happens first.

Not what WDW told me. They will refund pro-rata the number of days closed... (or extend)

Not so good for us. Even if the open shortly it'll be around 3 months. Still can't visit just yet.

If I end up not going in August and have to claim the refund (of 3 months) it'll mean I've paid 75% of the AP price that I intended to use twice.

Of course, not WDWs fault in all this but I don't think they've thought of this...

Had another reply from them basically stating "Tough luck". Wow. Not like Disney.

UPDATE: WDW have now agreed they will consider how much I used the ticket. They're saying I used 10 days so they will base it on me buying a 10 day hopper ticket then refund whatever extra I paid for the AP.

I originally bought a UK 21 day ticket for £420 and upgraded to an AP for $667 so they tell me. So in dollars approx - $1192.

Trouble is a 10 day hopper is approx up to $700 so I guess I may only get $500 back.

Wish they'd consider the UK ticket price though and just refund me the extra I paid... That would be fairer rather than use a ticket price I wouldnt but anyway.

We'll see what happens. Still hopeful for August.

Virgin Holidays cancelled our holiday for 9th July today, plus our end of August looks unlikely.
Having spoken to AP Passholder team then to the ticketing department they suggest getting in touch with DVC. We have 8mths left on our tickets from close period 16/3 and it looks like we will only get the closed period refund. So out of pocket.

Even if they reopen it may well be reduced parks and Florida residents only, both no help to us when we can't even travel to the US.
