What would you do in my scenario - I’ve used banked, current and borrowed points for an Aulani stay in August.

My 31st July flight got cancelled yesterday, so I know I definitely can’t go. I was going to hold off cancelling Aulani incase there is something they would do regarding the 150 Dec UY 2018 banked points I have (at present there is no extension for Dec UY, but I thought perhaps they might allow something for Aulani guests if the resort remains closed?)

But now reading this thread, I’m worried that if I don’t act quickly I would lose the borrowed points too!

What would you guys do in my situation?

Well the first point is there is no point in waiting so I’d see what member services can do today.

Assuming you can’t do anything with the banked, you could wait and see if anything changes but I’d immediately book a room for the busiest period, and look at going at Xmas or renting it out to Americans on the other board or with David’s (you could use Scott on here but you need a US tax number for that as he’s US based).

Thank you - that’s really helpful, I’ll ring them today.

The shame of it is that if they would just increase my banked points for one month, we are actually booked to go to WDW in December, and would happily use them, but these points expire on 30th November! 😢

Yes - I phoned this UK number, 0800-783-2893 had to redial constantly for about 20 minutes, then got through and was in a queue for 48 minutes. The actual conversation was a little over 10 minutes... it was worth the wait IMO
I also asked about tickets as my husband and I had already bought ours and 4 of our party don't have them yet.
Apparently it will be pot luck when they can purchase them.

I was told that until they change their current stand any cancellations will return to their original UY, interestingly if you don't want that to happen ie still want to travel in the "current" UY you Modify not cancel but the borrowing restriction comes in to play. We currently have 174 points tied up but if we move to May (Jun UY) we can't borrow anymore points having already done so, so "stuck" with the 174

One UK DVC member travelling at the end of August, claimed she spoke to MS and explained that we may not know until the week before if we can fly, MS allegedly told her that was fine and any 2021 borrowed points would be put back because of the circumstances.

I'd like to think that will be the case but remain sceptical.

cancelled mine today,points put back to original use year,unfortunately you just have to keep trying to get through on the phone,wasnt to bad this afternoon rang at 4.30pm uk time answered at 5pm,all sorted for 5.10pm

Got through tonight, 50 mins from start to finish and cancelled the 3 bookings for Aug/Sept.

We started with the engaged tone too but just kept trying, got in the queue and waited around 50 mins to get through.
