This is BA from an email yesterday , which I had forgotten about !
We'll still provide tea, coffee and water, please ask a member of our cabin crew on board. If you're travelling on a short-haul flight, We'll be offering complimentary light refreshments and water and hot drinks will be available on request. If you're travelling on a long-haul flight we'll be offering a selection of light refreshments as well as hot and soft drinks. We’re currently unable to offer special meals. You’ll be offered a new food service which will reduce physical contact with our crew, you'll be able to choose between a vegetarian or non-vegetarian option. If you have special dietary requirements or allergies, please bring your own food and snacks. Normal rules for liquids apply. Visit the local airport authority's website to see what locations are open once you pass through security. |

We hope we can just take loads of snacks on with us . Probably just get a big meal before we board and snack while on it.

Would rather sandwich or cheese and crackers than a dish of heated up mush.

Apparently Virgin will be offering a 'simplified hot food service onboard'.

Whats the betting some of these airlines never go back to a "full" meal service - in order to cut cost.

Honestly I'd be happier with a decent sandwich and crisps, compared to some of the microwaved slop you get usually.
