I am flying with Britannia in July. Can I carry on a small rucksack plus the camcorder bag? Does anyone know.

I did email Britannia (from link in their website) and the reply told me the measurements of hand luggage (extract from brochure I think). They didnt answer the question I asked .

Can't say what Britannia will decide in July, but we went in October 2001 with Air2000 and it was a VERY DEFINITE one item only and it had to be manageable i.e. not a week-end case!!  My camcorder finished up wrapped in towels in a suitcase.
Bit harsh really since there were only 60 people on the entire flight!!

I usually wrap my camcorder in a towel and put it in my hand luggage(Head bag), but I was wanting to take a rucksack that is smaller than the Head bag AND the camcorder bag.
I have sent them another email!!!

how many people are in your party?  You are all allowed one piece of carry-on luggage,  so if one of the kids doesn't have a bag then that would count as theirs.  Also, Ladies handbags don't count and we all know they can be pretty enormous!

LOL Bev - I have a special handbag that I use only when I fly - and yes - it's huge - holds all my personal things (make up, purse etc) AND holds 2 litres of duty free too- no problem!! <img src="http://www.disneybb.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/non-cgi/emoticons/bottleplus.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bott'> . .

I bought a Freedom bag from QVC it as lots of compartments and pockets, holds loads of stuff I took that as my hand luggage last time. Plus my handbag, DH carried camcorder and his own hand luggage. .

We flew with Air 2000 Feb 2002.  DH took his camcorder bag and 1 other bag for hand luggage.  I took handbag and other baggage, DS and DD took 1 piece each.  No one questioned us, but when we came home We had our hand luggage weighed.  (good job they didn't do that on the way out) Kids baggage weighed a ton on the way out lol.

Bev it is only myself and my sister who are going and she will have her own hand luggage.
My second email to Britannia was returned. My sister reminded me tonight that I have a friend who works for Thomson call centre .  I will ask her to find out seeing as Thomson and Britannia are the one company.
