Outdoor cat bed box ideas?
So there is a ragdoll cat who belongs to a house down the road. She is the most affectionate sweetest little cat I've ever met.
She is known on the state for trying to get into peoples cars and houses. I can see why. She is always outside, day and night. She definitely is pulling at my heart strings. But I know not to feed her or let her in, as she isn't mine 😭 But I thought that I could put a cat bed box in the garden, so she has a warm place to sleep at night if she wants to! Any recommendations? Or is it a bad idea?

I think its a lovely idea and I would be thinking the same. What’s the alternative, it doesn’t have anywhere to go?

I think they lock her out all day and the night. She is such a tiny thing aswell.
I posted on our local group a few months ago to find her owner, as I was worried she was lost. But they said she was theirs. I can't really cat nap her 🤣 they'd know it was me 🤣

Why on earth do people get pets and then neglect them? 🙁

Thats cute! I'm not that handy haha.
There is one on amazon that has some good reviews. So I've ordered that one! What should I line it with?

I used to have a feral cat Frankie and we got one of those plastic garden benches that the lids on the seat lift up on. We cut a hole in side of the base and inside put a large plastic storage box lined with carpet tiles and another hole cut in to allow access. Kept Frankie toasty warm and happy for many years and now my cats use it in the winter if it is raining but they want a bit of fresh air

We had a stray that took a shine to us. We got two storage boxes, one that fit inside the other and put insulation in between the boxes and a blanket inside for him. We kept it in the greenhouse for him to access.
The good news is that mum in law ended up adopting him (we checked and he wasn't chipped). However he still loves to be outdoors and so she got him a wooden cat house that someone local makes. I think it only cost her £40. |

I used to have a wooden cat house for mine, but the neighbour cat started using it all the time so moved it to their garden.
It was one like this so they could shelter from the rain on the top part or go into the house to sleep... pretty sure I got it on a deal though, don't remember it being this expensive! amazon/Pawhut-2-St...s%2C75&sr=8-16 |
