Glad to hear that others have ‘safe places’
My family roll their eyes and groan when I say’ I put it somewhere safe’ they know it’s unlikely ever to be seen again!

I bought my daughter a beautiful personalized Disney autograph book in 2015. I hid it for Christmas. Every now and then I still have a look for it !

The thing with losing things at least it gets the house tidy when I gave to go through all the paperwork, cupboards and drawers etc !

My bet for the tickets would have been the printer, put away together with the passports?
OP are you absolutely sure you had actual tickets and they weren’t sent on an email ?

Found them! They were in my bureau, which was the first place I looked, they were on the left when I’d expected them on the right and in a pink envelope when I’d expected blue for some reason?!

I have taken a photo of them in situ in case I forget again!

Thanks all, appreciate your moral support x

  • Between books in a bookshelf
  • In drawers - under clothes
  • Kitchen cupboards - look in the back and to sides
  • Cereal packet (my DH once found Ł100 I put in one - and completely forgot about)
  • Check pantry - between packets
  • Where you keep holiday stuff like swimsuits etc

I found a Christmas present I’d brought for my son in 2019 when I was wrapping up this year!

Well done. Always seem to be in the first place you looked.
I would probably say someone moved them and then put them back 😂 😂

Glad you found them - it’s frustrating when they are in the first place you looked!

I’m pleased I am not alone in all this madness, ‘the safe place’ never seems to keep stuff safe!
Pleased you found them. I do this all the time despite trying to get ‘organised’

Glad you found them and glad it's not just me!

I almost did the same post a few days ago about our passports. We put them somewhere "safe" whilst renovating the house and when planning our next trip, we realised we hadn't seen them for over a year... we spent days trying to remember where we kept them, I struggled to get to sleep trying to think where they could be and even wrote down possible locations and what else could be with them and dreamt about finding them. We searched the house, searched key words on our phone (hoping we'd text each other previously - "I've put the passports in...") to no avail.

We then traipsed our photos on our phones and found a photo of all our Disney holiday stuff being sorted December 2020 and we remembered that bag was now under our bed - we were literally lying on top of them this whole time
