BA from Gatwick
I thought BA had paused all long haul Florida bound flights out of Gatwick. I'm finding LGW to TPA in July 22. Is this new or did I just misunderstand?
Also for the return leg it looks like there is no TPA to LGW, its TPA to LHR. Just wondering if routes etc are set to change as things re open. Any ideas appreciated. |

The TPA flights have always been out of LGW, no change there. They don't fly every day though, so your return is likely an indirect.
They are still operating some LGW-MCO flights as well, just not in lower demand (i.e. winter) periods where they've shifted it to LHR as they're only running one flight per day. It's the shorthaul flights that BA have pulled out of Gatwick, rather than their longhauls. Edited at 01:18 PM. |

BA are still running their LGW to TPA - we are booked for next October. The only reason they may offer you a different route is they don’t fly to/ from TPA on a Tuesday or a Friday so an alternative route may be offered - we were flexible with our dates and wanted LGW /TPA

As already said they are still flying to TPA and MCO from Gatwick. If you’re flying from Scotland though I think you have to fly from Glasgow. That’s certainly what we found when changing our October booking to June. We’re flying from EDI via LHR instead as we are nearer to Edinburgh than Glasgow.

Looks like you can fly to MCO from Gatwick until the end of October then the are only doing LHR over winter

We are booked Gatwick to Mco on 20th December! Hope there’s not going to be a last minute change to Heathrow as we have booked parking and airport hotel now

Ours is GLA-LGW-MCO
RTN is MCO-LHR-GLA It could be down to our dates 17 instead of 14. They had suspended, but with Borders opening.
