Disney Tickets - How to buy
We are ‘all in’ for our holiday on Feb 18th but undecided on Disney tickets.
As fastpass is no more there seems little point in buying them upfront. Ideally we would like to buy them after we pass our pre-departure covid tests. Does anyone know if that would be problematic at all? I assume it’s all online now and no need to wait for physical cards. |

In case you didn’t know, you now need to book park passes for each day you want to be in a certain park, which you can only do once you have tickets on my Disney experience.

Although fastpasses are no more, you do now have to book park reservations for the first park you want to visit each day. You can only book park reservations once you have park tickets linked to your Disney account (also called "MyDisneyExperience" account or MDE). Therefore, it's best to buy your tickets sometime in advance to ensure that the park you want to visit is available to book, especially at busy/peak times.
Information about booking parks can be found on Disney's website here: disneyworld/experi...-reservations/ And there's an availability calendar showing what parks are available here: disneyworld/availa...ment =tickets At the moment, the parks aren't busy and therefore you can make reservations for the parks the day beforehand without any issues. That might change around Spring Break/Easter time and closer to other peak times. Otherwise, yes, you can book tickets online and get electronic tickets that are almost immediately linked to your account.

As above, you'll need to reserve your parks so not sure I'd want to leave that until the day you fly. Although in quieter times, you'd probably be fine. Especially if you're happy to go to whichever you can get a reservation for. But Feb 18th is a holiday weekend and the following weekend is a runDisney event, so it's possible those days may book up.
If you want UK tickets, look at purchasing through Attraction Tickets (ATD). Their flex cover is £10 per ticket and allows you to cancel for a full refund for any reason as long as the tickets haven't been used in the parks. Edited at 04:06 PM. |
