Although we do like OKW we love the Beach Club - it's just everything about it - I think if I got the choice of staying at the GF or the BC it would be the BC every time. Maybe if we had small/young children we would opt for one of the MK resorts -

The post says "What is your favourite Disney deluxe resort?" DVC deluxe resorts are not exclusive to WDW but I see with the mention of the Poly why you may have assumed it was WDW. My choice for the best isn't at WDW and the poll doesn't allow a "None of the above" vote

So far, the deluxe resorts we have stayed at are, Wilderness lodge, Old key west, anomL kingdom lodge, Beach club and Yacht club. We have visited grand Floridian, Polynesian & the contemporary for meals.
Cannot fault any of them, but a personal favourite of mine & DH is wilderness lodge. Edited at 12:33 PM. |

Haven't stayed at any of them but visited most of them. Got our first trip to the AKL for 14 nights next year. I'm desperate to stay at the Poly, I just absolutely love the theme and whole feel of the resort. It's just so bloody expensive!

There’s so many variables it is a very difficult question to answer.
Want a studio then I can see why people like Poly as the studios are big. But want a 1/2 bed, Poly is bottom of the list. A colleague of mine demanded a move from Poly (cash) as believed it to be not luxurious enough! Want an Epcot resort then Beach Club comes high up the list, until you see the 1 beds only have 4 sleep surfaces if you need 5. Whilst on the face of it Boardwalk may be edged by Beach Club, Boardwalk has some of the best value ‘standard’ rooms on property if you can bag one, which for many would accelerate it above Beach Club. For many, the ease of walking over from BLT to MK is a winner, and whilst the 1 beds are spacious, I certainly wouldn’t want to be a family in a studio there- so for me BLT is high on the list or low on the list depending on whether you go 1 bed. Many think VGF is the bees knees, but my family don’t care much for the styling, also very points intensive. OKW has the most laid back style and huge rooms. SSR has a similar laid back style, albeit I’d probably wait until the returbs are done 2020 now. If they put the Murphy sleeper sofa in the 1 beds that will be a huge plus. Copper Creek has a lovely setting but 1 beds too small for my taste. So it depends on what you want and what your requirements are, no definitive answer.
