Questions about 3 Go Roam (Caribbean) and Free wifi

Hi all.

DW and I are going to Orlando for 2 days in September and then having 2 weeks cruising around the Caribbean. I have been looking at getting a "3" Go Roam Sim card, but I'm not sure if it only works in the USA.

I have tried to check, but I can only see US Virgin Islands listed. The places we are going to are:
Grand Turk
San Juan
St. Thomas
Amber Cove
Grand Cayman
Mahogany Bay
Belize
Cozumel.

If anyone has any information about using a phone on these islands, I would be really grateful.

The other question I have is, when we are in Florida, most places we go to, such as restaurants have free wifi. Does anyone know if this would be the same for the Caribbean islands?

As far as I am aware, the 3 sim would only work in the USA, you would have to pay for internet access on whichever ship you are travelling on, this is usually cheaper before you go. I am unsure about the islands and WiFi I'm afraid. You may get more replies if you put this on the cruise planning.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will copy it over to the Cruise forum.
We were on a mediterranean cruise 2 years ago with Royal Caribbean and bought the onboard wifi. We found it very expensive and it was a terrible signal. I think we only managed to use it about twice in the whole fortnight.

I've had a quick look on the internet and found a couple of references to sim cards for using in the Caribbean, one was mrsimcard. I haven't used any of these, there may more be help on a cruise site.

Thanks again. I'll have a look at that sim card. I've used Cruise Critic before, but it does seem more geared to Americans.
