Travelling with a Polish national, not family. Immigration alone?
We have asked my daughters best friend (14) to come with us next year, as she is Polish she cannot travel with an Esta so needs to arrange a visa.
When we get to the airport will she have to go through immigration alone, or can we take her up with us? I'm worried it will be a bit much for her as she hasn't been abroad since coming over to the UK as a baby. A side question, does anyone know if she applies for UK citizenship can she then qualify for an Esta? For her to get a visa she has to go back to Poland to apply at the US embassy there, seems a pain for her. |

She is a Child so will come up with you even though she doesn't live in the same Household.
However let a 'greeter' know and they will direct you accordingly. They are very good.

as above, she's a minor, so she goes through with whoever is in charge of her
I wouldn't worry about immigration, but I would make sure you have the appropriate paperwork from her parents authorising you to travel with the child. Immigration will not question you going through immigration together, but they will definitely want to know if you are authorised to travel with her. if sdhe becomes a UK national, and can get a UK passport, then she'll qualify for ESTA but she does need a UK passport (or any VWP country national, with a passport to match) Edited at 02:15 PM. |

As said your daughters friend will go with you but they may have to run the processing twice while you there

Excited about Disney

My wife is Polish. She got her visa at the US Embassy in London. I am sure she wouldn’t have to go back to Poland to arrange a visa. As for travelling through immigration she goes through with myself and our son
