Scones with strong flour
I have just discovered how easy it is to make simple rolls/tin loafs.
As I now have a big bag of strong white flour I am wanting to experiment a bit. Dh has put in a request for cheese scones. Can I use strong white flour, and would I need to add yeast?

I use it for sourdough cheese scones I add 2teaspoons of baking powder to 450g of flour
Other scones I use plain flour and baking powder what ever you use don’t roll the dough to thin or they wil be like ice hockey 🏒 pucks |

Pastry Chef's hat on
It is possible but you need to be careful. Strong flour is high in gluten. If you work the dough to much you could get very tough scones. Personally I would only use strong flour for bread and yeast dough products.
