Oh no, what a shame for you. I’d have been so disappointed.

Totally agree, there are no guarantees with the weather, but we’re just hoping to go when the odds are in our favour, then keeping our fingers crossed!

We've always enjoyed late December/New Year's. We've been 3 times at that time of year, and each time it was warm and sunny, but not oppressively hot. Great bike-riding weather on the island. The water was chilly, but just fine for swimming and sliding from Pelicam Plunge.

We went once in mid-March, and it was a tad warmer than we prefer, but it was still great. The water was still chilly, but again, that is easily adjusted to and was not an issue for us. We're central Texans and are used to swimming in natural cold springs.

I would go to CC at any time of the winter, but am not so interested in going there in summer, when it's really hot.

I think coming from Texas, you're used to a lot more heat than us here in the UK - although it is 34c where I am today and due to be 38c tomorrow!

Welcome to the Dibb cruise forum by the way!

We've been there on Boxing Day - it was plenty warm enough but the sea was 'cool'.

It was similar air temp in April but the sea was 'moderately cool'.

I'd visit again at those times, hope to get there one year in Oct so sea has a good chance of being a bit warmer.
