I had that problem getting my current passport, ended up going to Swansea to get mine.

So maybe best to phone the nearest one to you first thing in the morning to get an appointment.

Hope you get it.

I think for a child you can only do the 1 week service at a premium. You would need an appointment tomorrow or Tue am. Go on the Gov.uk under urgent passports. If they are almost 16 and could get an adults there is a 4 hour service .

Don’t know if it’s the same timescale for adult & child passports, but I have a family member who works for the passport office in Liverpool & he says renewals are taking about 5 days at the moment.

Someone I work with got her childs on express service, cost her £92 but had it within a few days. She had left it late to renew, sent it in without the postoffice checking service and had a text to say it should be delivered by the 9th, which was the day after she was due to fly out, so wasn't worth the risk it might get there earlier, and better that having to make an appointment and fetch it.

DH is going to try Liverpool tomorrow, just hoping it will arrive by Saturday.

Have you booked online as they won’t entertain you without an appointment?
