Question Blue Lagoon, Iceland

We are visiting whilst on a cruise. Any tips? Should I buy a pair of pool shoes to wear whilst in the water?

Thanks

You don't need them in the water, but I took flip flops and left them by the side at the entrance to the pool. I also wore them in the shower area and changing rooms.

Depending on what package you get, you might have a drink included from the bar. I chose a glass of pink fizz as it was the most expensive and I wanted my money's worth!

The water is so blue and so warm, it's like being in the bath. Don't forget to have a silica face mask as well, I really enjoyed the whole experience.

I would suggest taking an old swimming costume as the water (plus its salts) absolutely ruins swimwear and fades the colours.

Don’t get your hair wet because once mine was wet I couldn’t get warm even with the water being like a bath, although I did go February.

They do insist on you showering naked , so be warned you cant hang your towell over door as it will get soaked. Plaster your hair in conditioner as the salts in the water play havoc with your hair
We visited during a mini blizzard it was amazing .

To add to the post above - there is one private shower cubicle in the ladies shower area! Otherwise all open plan!

There were more cubicles in the mens changing rooms and they weren't that strict about showering so long as you were wet they didn't seem to mind, or watch to see if you were naked or not.

There you go then, disneyowl, you could always opt to go in the men’s room to take advantage of the better cubicles! 😆
