We did a quick trip (internal flight from Tampa) for a couple of days to see Aerosmith and penn and teller. It was a crazy couple of days and we crammed lots in. We played the myvegas app for 8 months before going so had a 2 night free stay (had to pay taxes) in Vdara which was fantastic. Also, among other things, had 2 free buffets at Aria and the food was great.
We’d been before so knew about the heat and the long walk everywhere so used Uber a lot - as time was short and we didn’t want to waste it. Linked Uber to my pre-paid Fairfx card and didn’t experience any problems at all.
Got a good discount on groupon for Link fly and the high roller which we did around midnight (after the concert) and ques were non existent. Hardly had any sleep so needed to kip on flight back to Tampa.

Go up the stratosphere on the first night it will give you amazing views and an idea of the distance.

If you want to drink and don’t want to play buy your drinks regardless of what people say they know who is playing and who is not and you don’t want to be seen as free loading cheapskate. It is cheaper to buy drinks than play for “free drinks”.

The $20 trick does work for upgrades in some circumstances the shorter the stay and the slower the time (midweek) the better chance of success.

If you don’t have a car (we would never be without a car in Las Vegas) use Uber there are Uber pickups at all hotels.

The outlets are cheaper than Florida there are two sets one in north and one in the south the north ones are much better.
